Day 6: Free Snow-Fun

Today began with me knowing the snow would disappear. The high was in the forties again and the previous days melted all but the shaded areas of our backyard.  The kids have been dying to make snow people, so we agreed to have school in the afternoon. Such excitement! Not only did they get to play in the snow, they got to wear their pjs under their snow pants because today was pajama day in school. Which made it, in their minds, a seriously awesome day. Here are their creations with names. Their lives were a beautiful, if short, five hours. 

Part of what's making No Spending peaceful is feeling prepared. I got four movies from the library for our laundry folding nights or dates. Our cupboards are full. The things I wasn't prepared for I'm choosing not to think about...very often. Pet registration happens to be due (19.00) and Brian has a school function that costs 5.00 to attend. Still, I'm hopeful and choosing to think, "We'll see how well we can do."
