Fifteen Years of Wonderful

Brian and I actually had our fifteenth anniversary on August 6th. Since we'd already enjoyed our getaway back in June, we just went downtown to an ice cream shop where we had our first date. It was (obviously) lots of fun to sit and remember when "we" were just a hopeful possibility.

The other thing that made the day really exciting for me was giving Brian his present. Back in May, I heard Ed Sherean's song, "Thinking Out Loud," and was instantly inspired to make a slide show of our pictures. Even the ones that weren't handily on my computer and had to be scanned in...such a drag. Especially when your scanner doesn't work and your tech guy is the one you're trying to surprise. Nevertheless, here it is, representing our wonderful, frustrating, crazy, fabulous, excruciating fifteen years. All good ones, but some very hard. Don't ever think those disqualify you from having a good marriage. They're part of our story and they show how strong our love is, since we're borrowing the eternal, good stuff and trying to give it to each other every day.
